Brought to you by GUESS.com.  When you meet Ana Beatriz Barros, the first thing you notice is her flawless complexion. She maintains that it is the result of using a certain well-known face cream (it's the best!). We suspect it has more to do with her amazing genes.     Standing 5' 11" the brown-haired, hazel eyed beauty is obviously genetically blessed. A fact that the Director of the Elite modeling agency didn't fail to miss while on a vacation trip to Brazil. He encouraged her to enter the national Elite Look Of The Year contest where she won first place and a modeling contract. Later that year, she would place second at the international Elite Look Of The Year contest. Elite sent her portfolio, along with some recent Polaroid shots, to Paul Marciano, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of GUESS?, Inc. Suddenly, there was a new GUESS? Girl in town.   Ana was born on May 29, 1982, in the tiny Brazilian town of Itabria. With her parents and sisters, she moved to Rio de Janero, the city where she spent her childhood. She describes Rio de Janero as "an amazing cosmopolitan, bustling city filled with interesting people." This fascination with unusual cultures and people motivated Ana to pursue modeling as a career. She loves to travel and has an amazing aptitude for languages. On the GUESS? shoot she had plenty of opportunity to practice speaking English. "Since I learned English, I've become a motormouth!" she says, laughing. When she's not busy flying around the globe for fashion shows, she prefers to spend her spare time out with her friends eating Brazilian foods (Fejoiada), going to the movies (any sort of drama), listening to music (Lenny Kravitz or Marvin Gaye), playing sports (swimming or beach volleyball) or curling up with a good book (like the Brazilian Valtirias). Ana plans to continue modeling, and is currently busy flying back-and-forth to Europe for the fall fashion shows. Eventually she would like to study at the university, then settle down and raise a family.
