Alex Lundqvist is
a self-assured Swede, utterly charming, educated
and thoughtful. He's also one of the number one
male models, featured in GUESS? advertising
campaigns.
Alex had one of those
Swedish liberal idyllic childhoods which came
abruptly to an end at the eighteen with the
obligatory one-year national service in Sweden's
army. Transformed into a tank platoon commander,
the quiet blue-eyed boy had to shave his head so
often that he swore that when he came out, he'd
never shave again and from that was born the
mischievous arrangement of facial hair that would
become his insignia.
|
Since then Alex is constantly featured in editorial,
for Vogue Homme and L'Uomo Vogue and a spread in Arena
Magazine, photographed by Aldo Rossi, among others. Alex has
also been profiled in Elle Top Model, New York Magazine, US
Magazine and an interview on MTV's "House of Style," along
with best buddy and fellow model Mark Vanderloo.

Jason Lewis -- at
24, is a star of many great campaigns including
Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, GUESS? and Byblos. Jason
has done every major show in Paris, Milan and New
York. He is the GUESS? man everyone remembers
drooling over late '93 - early '94.
Jason tells you he's from
Southern California and that's about it. He just
knew he wanted to travel and so as a teenager he
hauled pipes and dug ditches for a plumbing
contractor and then worked fifty-five hours a week
in a restaurant to get the money together to get
out and see the world. In 1993, he landed in Paris,
at the suggestion of a model scout. Into the three
months of his visa he signed with a model agency,
and crammed in a good year of high living and
European lifestyle. He then went to Milan and found
himself being madly courted by the fashion
industry.

Jason Lewis is now with
Wilhelmina Models Inc. and lives in New York on an
incredible schedule. He's able to study with three private
acting coaches for what he hopes will be a future in film.
This magnetic, enigmatic man is one of the biggest modeling
stars in the world today. There is every expectation that he
will have similar impact of the film world.

Mark Vanderloo,
born in Waddinzveen, Holland, is now the number one
male model in the world. At thirteen he was the
hardest-working paperboy in town, running three
routes, later on he worked in bars and cafes, and
everything he made, he'd spend. At 22, he entered
the University of Amsterdam to study history.
Accompanying a model girlfriend one day to a shoot,
he found himself modeling for the very first time.
The photographer had another assignment he needed
to complete, for a milk advertisement and liking
the look of the two of them together, he shot them
for the ad. Mark just hated the way he looked in
the pictures and thought that was the end of a very
short modeling career. But a local agency liked the
pictures and came after him offering him money;
after six penniless months at college, he found it
an offer impossible to resist.
|
|
Mark tells you he
has the greatest job in the world -- not only for
its material benefits but for putting him to work
with some of the most amazingly creative minds in
the world. So he gives everything of himself to his
work, even of his very soul, so that he says when
he looks at one of his pictures, he can always tell
what he was feeling when it was taken.
