Nora Louis Kuzma was born on May 7, 1965 in Steubenville, Ohio. From the moment she was born she had stars in her eyes and was ready to move onto the big screen and leave Ohio behind her. Her wide-mouthed, pouty good looks took her straight to the top of the entertainment business within months of her debut. Soon after, Nora Kuzma no longer existed and Traci Lords, the star was born. She decided on her stage name by combining her best friend's favorite actress, Katherine Hepburn, with her favorite actor, Jack Lords. Her mesmerizing green eyes and gorgeous blonde hair compliment her fit 5-foot 7-inch frame.

Traci had a rough childhood. Her parents divorced when she was a young girl. Running away from home at the tender age of 15 with no guidance, she ended up in Southern California with a big dream of making a name for herself. An older male friend took her to Jim South's World of Modeling Agency. Her determination to do whatever it took to make it contributed to making her one of the top starlets of the mid-80's.

Lords began studying at the famed Lee Strasberg Institute and was cast in the film "Not Of This Earth" by the ripe age of eighteen. This was only the beginning to her wild ride of success.

In early 1996, she starred in "Cheat," a Clio Award-winning GUESS? commercial with an electic and diverse cast including Juliette Lewis, Peter Horton and Harry Dean Stanton. "Cheat" was a short film directed by Andy Morahan and written and produced by Laura Gregory. "Cheat," continued the award-winning collaboration between Paul Marciano, co-CEO and co-chairman of GUESS?, Inc. and Gregory, who also guided the three previous GUESS? spots - "Paparazzi," "The Last Picture Show" and "The Misfits," each of which has won numerous Clio Awards and various prominent international awards.
In recent years, the multi-talented Lords posed for celebrity calendars and posters in which she designed. She also had a recurring role on the hit television show Melrose Place and is preparing to launch her second musical album. In her leisure time, Traci enjoys swimming, hiking, boxing and tennis. She dedicates her time to Children of the Night, a charity to help keep underage children and teens off the streets of Hollywood.
"Dance Music is the future and I have always believed in the future," says Traci. She will not let anyone or anything intimidate her. She has a dream to be dance music's newest techno diva and she will not back down. Her first album, entitled "1000 Fires," received critical praise. Traci has now returned to the U.S. after living in London for five years and is ready to embrace the future and whatever it may hold and continues to pursue a mainstream acting and singing career.
