Gwyneth's first film audition lead to her
film debut in 1991 with a role in the feature film "Shout" with John
Travolta. A chance meeting with Steven Spielberg resulted in the role of
'Young Wendy' in "Hook." In 1992, Gwyneth accepted a role in the mini-series
"Cruel Doubt," where ironically Blythe Danner would later be cast as her
mother. Although Paltrow was still aiming towards a stage career with a

"Moonlight & Valentino" and "The PallBearer," along with a truly
magnificent performance in "Emma."
